How Strunify works

Strunify is a BIM-to-FEM conversion engine. Your BIM/IFC model goes in — an analysis-ready FEM model comes out, with load-bearing elements classified and the load path resolved.

Pipeline

1. Upload your BIM model

Upload IFC or native BIM formats. Strunify reads geometry, materials and topology automatically.

2. Element classification and load-path resolution

Strunify classifies load-bearing elements (IfcSlab, IfcBeam, IfcColumn), resolves the support relationships between them, and builds the load path from slab to foundation.

3. FEM model generation

The classified elements and resolved load path are assembled into an analysis-ready FEM model — nodes, members and load transfer — and exported as a neutral IFC Structural Analysis View.

4. Model returned

You receive the converted FEM model plus a model preview, ready to import into any structural analysis software that reads the IFC Structural Analysis View — for design, sizing and code checks.
